Stanton Cotswold Walk
A favourite circular walk from the beautiful village of Stanton going through pretty hamlet of Laverton, Buckland Village and then through Stanway to get back to Stanton. We will be walking through fields and woodland with great views from top of hills. Please bring packed lunch with drinks after at The Mount Inn..
Meet at Duntisbourne Abbots village hall at 9:45 for a 10:00 am start. The walk takes in countryside and pretty villages full of interest including Daglingworth and Woodmancote.
Bring picnic lunch.
Car parking at the village hall is in return for small donation. Approaching from the A417, look for the sign for services. Duntisbourne Abbots turn comes very quickly.
Meet at 9.45am for 10am start in the back car park of the Royal William pub on A46 (Royal William, Cheltenham Rd, Cranham, Painswick, Gloucestershire GL6 6TT)
A lovely early spring walk heading out towards Slad. The trail is likely to be very muddy in the odd place (wear appropriate footwear and bring poles if you need them) and would be rated moderate in parts.
The Royal William will be serving food if anyone would like to eat at the end of the walk.
For anyone wanting to come by bus, the 61 which runs between Cheltenham Promenade and Stroud/ Dursley stops outside the Royal William.
For those coming by car, please park at the back of the car park behind the pub. The landlord specifically asks that people do not park in the car park opposite the pub to avoid people thinking the pub is full.
Uley Bury and Cam Long Down
Meet 9.45am for 10am start outside the Crown Inn.
A beautiful scenic walk around the Cotswolds starting at the Village of Uley & climbing up to Uley Bury then Cam Long Down, Cam Peak and then onto Bowcote Knoll Woods and back to Uley. A couple of steep climbs but well rewarded with amazing views of the river Severn, the Malvern Hills and beyond. Please bring packed lunch. Drinks after at The Crown Inn.
